IONOL® 220 is an antioxidant from the group of non-staining, sterically hindered phenols. The main applications for IONOL® 220 are the stabilization of industrial oils such as lubricating, turbine, transformer and hydraulic oils. Further applications of IONOL® 220 are adhesives, petroleum hydrocarbon resins and polyolefins. Due to its low thermal volatility, IONOL® 220 is also particularly suitable for oils exposed to high operating temperatures for long periods. IONOL® 220 is approved by the FDA for some applications.
